Quarantine Craft 2020: Outdoor Furniture

I started spray painting before I remembered to get a "before" pic

When we moved in about a year and a half ago, this chair was left on the patio.  It's in good shape, but kind of a drab ole color.  It ended up just getting inched back further and further, until it was finally in the back corner gathering dust.  But one of my Facebook friends, Rachel, posted pics of what she'd done with some of her outdoor wicker furniture during this quarantine, and it inspired me!
So I ordered some cans of Krylon Sunflower spray paint and got to work.

It was a good natural color to begin with

but it's a great POPPING color now!

I used 3 cans of paint, probably could've used 4 or 5 for better coverage, then sealed it with some outdoor spray sealer.  Now I'm just waiting on the cushions to arrive.  Thanks for motivating me, Rachel!

Quarantine Craft 2020: Dishrags

Not a new craft, but I did have some cotton yarn I needed to use up, so I made up some dishrags. This Quarantine is helping me get some stuff out of my craft closet and ready for gifting.  I'll find some good-smelling soap to bundle up with these and possible have a Thanksgiving gift or 2.

Quarantine Craft 2020: Adrift Scarf

Whew!  This was an easy pattern, but for some reason I had to frog and tink a lot.  Until I finally started using a lifeline!

I used a big ole skein of Caron Cake and loved the colors!

It's going to make a nice gift for someone..... maybe for ME!

Quarantine Craft 2020: The Big Guy Scarf

I had some Caron Cake in super bulky in my stash and knitted up this pattern for the first time.  It was such a simple pattern, yet I found myself having to frog and tink and frog some more.  It's not one of my faves, so I likely won't do this one again.  But good experience for me knitting with the weightier yarn.

Quarantine Craft 2020: Definitely Diagonal Shawl

Oh, how I loved knitting this one.  And I think the Caron Cake yarn I used from my stash, is just perfect for it!  I'll definitely use this pattern (from Ravelry) again!

Quarantine Craft 2020 -- Garden Art

The Owl's Nest Flea Market reopened this week!  My former colleague, Lisa Clark, has a booth there and let us know on Facebook.  A couple of times when I went there, I found a frame in her booth that I debated and debated with myself on.  In fact, one of those times I carried it around with me while I shopped, then put it back.  This time I picked it up before walking around and carried it to the counter and had them hold it.  It still speaks to me.  Found a couple of other things in her booth as well.  The 3 jars and crate will get painted and napkin-decoupaged soon.

Used Krylon spray paint in Sunflower and gave it a couple of coats.  Sealed it with
Krylon clear satin.

I love it behind my native flower bed!

Deanna, next door, gave me a rusted butterfly when she saw that I was outside painting.
I used Krylon in Seaglass and gave it a face lift.
