Old Shale

This pattern is free on ravelry.com and is called Old Shale Cowl.  I had a limited amount of yarn, so I made it earwarmers instead of a cowl.  I cast on 72 stitches and used a size 6 needle.  This along with a flower used up nearly the whole skein.

I think it'll be a perfect size for a little girl.  I'll try the cowl with a larger skein.  LOVE the pattern.
